Fears for Cork teens taking part in 'choking challenge'

It's feared teenagers in Cork are taking part in a new online craze which poses serious health risks and has even resulted in death. The challenge known as the ‘pass-out game’ or the ‘choking game’ involves teenagers depriving themselves of oxygen to achieve a high, which causes them to lose consciousness and faint. It's believed the videos are being shared on SnapChat which ensures that the footage disappears after a certain length of time, and can therefore go undetected by parents. AUDIO: Speaking to RedFM News Dr Nick Flynn of Union Quay Medical Centre in Cork says parents have been in contact with him over fears their children are taking part in the challenge.
