Fears for jobs after Debenhams applies for examinership

The company says it is seeking court protection while it restructures its Irish businesses.
The Trade Union Mandate is calling for an urgent meeting between management at Debenhams and the Examiner.
It follows the announcement today that the company has applied for examinership - a move which could put some jobs at risk.
The company says it is seeking court protection while it restructures its Irish businesses, and says it aims to retain as many jobs as possible.
Mandate represents 2,000 workers in 11 Debenhams stores across the country, two of which are in Cork, and say their members are shocked and disappointed at the news.
Speaking to RedFM News Gerry Light of Mandate says speculation on the future of the company isn't productive at this point but Mandate are doing everything in their power to help allay their members' fears:
