Fears Funding Will Be Lost If Progress Isn't Made On Events Centre
There are fears that €12 million funding could be at risk if progress isn't made on the stalled Events Centre
The Irish Examiner reports that a licensing agreement on the government funding expires next year and that any further funding would require a new agreement.
It follows the revelation this week that an updated planning application for the proposed Events Centre must be submitted, which could lead to a delay of another 6 to 8 weeks before the planning is ready for submission.
BAM and Live Nation have insisted they are committed to the project
