Fears raised that Fota Wildlife Park could close permanently if visitors aren't allowed to return soon

The park saw a massive drop in visitor numbers last year and has been closed for the duration of Level 5 restrictions
Hopes are high that the Wildlife park will be able to re-open soon but all plans depend on the number of Covid cases.
€1 million in government funding last year, has helped the park survive so far but management has warned that if they don't open before September, then they face the real prospect of closure,
The park's food and veterinary bills cost roughly €44,000 per month and the park itself has annual running costs of €4.5 million
