There are growing indications that the suicide charity Console is to be shut down.
The HSE announced this afternoon that its working on ways to transition the services offered by Console to other organisations.
The HSE says its holding discussions with other charities, following a proposal from Console's interim CEO David Hall.
Mr Hall has also been briefing with staff at the organisation about the plans.
Meanwhile, the HSE are before the Dáil's Public Accounts Committee next week regarding the suicide bereavement charity.
Deputy Alan Kelly, who was elected vice-chair of the committee earlier this morning, says a number of PAC members also want the charity regulator to appear before them.
