Fears trolley crisis will deter students from entering nursing as CAO deadline looms

Concern has been expressed that the current trolley crisis will have an impact on CAO applications next month.
The situation has reached crisis point in the last ten days with record numbers awaiting beds in emergency departments across the country.
Nurses say they're at their wits end and are working in unsafe and inappropriate conditions and it's feared the situation will have an impact on students that were considering a career in nursing.
Thousands of leaving cert students will be filling out their CAO applications this month before the February 1st deadline.
Speaking to RedFM News Mary Rose Carroll of the INMO says she's hopes the current difficulties won't deter students from a very rewarding career:
