FG Councillor to make a Garda statement after being attacked
A local Fine Gael councillor is to make a formal statement to Gardai later today after he was attacked while out canvassing in West Cork Councillor Humphrey Deegan was assaulted in Clonakilty while out canvassing for a party colleague on Friday evening. The Fine Gael Councillor says the incident occured at around half past four on Connolly Street in Clonakilty when a car pulled up and a man started shouting abuse at him before getting out of the car..
