File prepared for DPP as two men are released following fatal assault in Fermoy

Two men have been released without charge following a fatal assault in Fermoy.
Gardai are continuing to investigate and are to prepare a file for the DPP.
A 43 year old man was released from mallow Garda station just before 2pm, while a second man aged 29 was released from Fermoy Garda station just before 4pm.
Both men, who are Polish nationals and work for a Macroom haulage company, were arrested for a serious assault on 40 year old Slovakian national, Ludovit Pasztor who lived in Fermy with his wife and two daughters.
The Slovakian was pronounced dead at the truck stop attached to Amber Filling Station in Fermoy on Tuesday night after he and a Polish friend became involved in a row which escalated into a fight with the two Polish truck drivers.
