Finance Minister Prompts Fears The M20 May Become Part Of A 10yr Plan

The Finance Minister has hinted that the M20 Cork-Limerick motorway may have to be examined as part of a 10 year plan due to the size of the project.

The comments come as the Taoiseach and Minister Paschal Donohoe published their summer economic statement today 

At press conference the Minister was asked if the Cork-Limerick motorway would be among the projects that could be brought forward as a result of the extra capital spending.

In response Paschal Donohoe says he'll need agreement from all of Cabinet before he can decide on the Cork-Limerick motorway but he confirmed that the so-called 'rainy day fund' will be halved, with the money spent on capital projects instead.
