Fire on shipwrecked MV Alta off the Ballycotton coast will be further assessed today

It's after Cork County Council's Fire Service brought the blaze under control on the ship last night.
Fire Crews were called to the ship at around 4pm.
It was being monitored by Gardaí overnight and is in an unsafe condition.
Cork County Council and Gardaí are appealing to the public to avoid the area and not to try to gain access to the wreck.
The MV Alta washed up in Ballycotton in February last year after being abandoned by it's crew off the coast of Bermuda when the engines failed in September 2018.
