A firefighter's died after tackling a blaze on a passenger jet which crash landed in Dubai.
A firefighter's died after tackling a blaze on a passenger jet which crash landed in Dubai.
The firefigher was killed while putting out flames on the Emirates flight from India, which suffered a landing gear problem.
Emirates Airline say four Irish citizens were among the 300 passengers and crew members onboard the flight who have been brought to safety.
The airline says all passengers and crew are accounted for and safe.
Here, the Department of Foreign Affairs says the Irish embassy in Abu Dhabi is in contact with local authorities and is ready to offer consular assistance if needed.
