First Of 94 Cruise Liners To Visit Cork Arrives In Cobh
The first of 94 cruise liners to visit Cork arrived in Cobh yesterday and marked the start of what Port of Cork say could be a bumper year.
The Port expects to welcome a record 188,000 passengers and 80,000 crew in 2018.
Research by the Port of Cork shows the direct spend by visiting liners will be in the region of €18 million and will also showcase Cork as a tourism destination.
Speaking to RedFM News, Port of Cork CEO Brendan Keating says the region's economy will be boosted by the record number of cruise liners
