First Transatlantic Flight Touches Down At Cork Airport via Reykjavík

The route has been described as a game changer for business and tourism in Cork


The first transatlantic flight has touched down in Cork airport via Reykjavík in the past hour. 

At 9.59am the long awaited connection between Cork and the U.S was formalised as 85 passengers landed in Cork airport on WOW Air's new service.

Passengers can now travel to ten North American destinations via Reykjavík which is a milestone for Cork Airport who have been working to secure a transatlantic connection for many years.
