Fisherman airlifted to hospital off the Cork coast

The alarm was raised shortly after 6 o'clock this morning.
A fisherman on board a West trawler was airlifted to the Cork University Hospital this morning.
The alarm was raised shortly after 6am and the Waterford-based Rescue 117 helicopter responded to the call in 3m swells off the coast of Mizen Head.
The 32-year-old was transferred by ambulance from Cork Airport to the CUH.
It's understood the vessel continued on its journey to Castletownbere after the incident.
