Five arrested over attempted armed robbery

Five men remain in garda custody this morning in connection with an attempted armed robbery in East Cork. It's understood a number of armed men tried to break into the home of a businessman in Glounthaune at around 11.00 last night. It's unclear whether there were family members at the house at the time of the attempted robbery but a garda source confirmed that nobody was injured.
