Five people arrested after shot was fired during Garda raid in Rochestown

Detectives and officers from the Regional Support Unit and the Armed Support Unit were carrying out a search of a premises at Island View Rochestown Road.
Officers were trying to gain entry to the property last night when someone inside the premises fired a shot.
No injuries were reported and the scene was secured by the Armed Support Unit.
Gardaí discovered two improvised firearms and ammunition as well as a number of petrol bombs.
Other weapons including axes, cleavers, hatchets and pikes were seized.
A man in his late teens, two in their 20s, one in his 50s and a woman in her 50s were arrested and are currently being detained at a number of Garda Stations across the city.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
