Five People Loose Their Lives On Irish Roads

Five people have been killed on Irish roads today following two separate road collisions in Cork and Mayo
Two American Tourists died in a car crash in North Cork involving two cars and a truck on the Mallow road around 11am this morning.
The man and woman were both in their 60's and were travelling with their partners who were taken to Cork University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The bodies have been removed from the scene to the CUH where a post mortem is expected to take place later today or tomorrow.
Gardai say the road remains closed but is expected to be opened shortly after 5pm.
Meanwhile
Two women aged in their 70's and 40's and a 7 year old boy - died after the car they were traveling in collided with a truck on the N17 Galway to Sligo Road at Claremorris in Mayo just after midday.
