Flood-hit traders in Bandon say the ongoing flood relief works need to continue without any stumbling blocks.
The West Cork town was badly hit by flooding in recent years and a major flood relief scheme which includes drainage works on the Bandon River is currently ongoing.
The most recent threat of flooding was averted in the town in January as the town's main bridge was closed to all traffic,
The commencement of flood remediation works and the swift action of emergency services who used water pumps were praised for keeping the flood water at bay.
Hickeys Newsagents and Books is one of the lowest lying shops in the town and has been one of the worst affected by floods.
Speaking to RedFM News owner of the store Breda Hickey says the works are proving effective:
