Flood protection works not due to begin until 2016

Construction work on flood prevention in Cork city is not due to being until 2016 The 50 million euro flood plan was on display today in the City Hall to allow people effected by flooding to view ans ask questions. The exhibition displayed today is the preferred solution for the city, suggesting embankments in large parts of the city along with a 10 foot embankment at Fitzgerald's Park. The exhibition will remain open at the City Hall for a further three days and people are being advised to attend as the new Mardyke resident Barry Keane attended today's meeting at the City hall and he told RedFM News that the new proposal could change the face of the city Click PLAY to hear audio
