Flood relief works in pipeline for Midleton

The County Council is to commission a consultancy project to develop a flood relief scheme for Midleton.
Last December Midleton was one of the Cork towns worst hit by the floods which followed Storm Frank.. Up to 30 families had to be evacuated from their homes and many businesses were left under water after the flooding deluge...
After the floods Midleton and Area Chamber of Commerce entered into a process with the Council and other stakeholders in order to get the Midleton Flood Relief project off the ground
Chamber President Seamus Cunningham told RedFM News that real progress is being made on the project but it could take up to two years before any work begins.
