Flying Enterprise issues statement in the wake of the departure of an employee

Cormac ó Bruic claims he left his job as he was not allowed to speak Irish while at work

Cormac ó Bruic had been working for the Flying Enterprise pub for eight months and claims that he left his job as the owner didn't want him to speak Irish to staff members

However in a statement issued this afternoon the Flying Enterprise says the matter has nothing to do with the Irish language.
They say the bar employs six different nationalities and while at work the most sensible and practical language to speak is English.

Management at the bar moved to clarify reports that Cormac was fired and say that the matter was referred to an external HR firm and while he initially engaged with the HR process he decided to leave before it was concluded.

A small protest is underway outside the bar this afternoon and another one is scheduled for tomorrow by Gael Taca - an Irish organisation which promotes the use of the language Leeside.

When asked by RedFM News why they have organised the protest tomorrow this was Aine Ni Ealai's from Gael Taca's response
