Focus Ireland Want Housing Minister To Clarify Number Of Homeless People

Focus Ireland says the Housing Minister needs to clarify if the number of people who are homeless has actually gone up.
The department's figures for March show a drop of 126 to just under 9,700.
But Eoghan Murphy says 600 people previously included in the numbers have been re-classified as NOT living in emergency accommodation.
Some of them have been taken out of the overall figure for March.
Mike Allen from Focus Ireland says the confusion needs to be cleared up:
Here at home the fourth in a series of 24 hour protests is taking place outside City Hall today.
It's being organised by the Housing Action Group who are campaigning to have Government setup a National Emergency Committee on the issue of Housing and Homelessness.
