Foreign holidays could return as early as July

A cabinet meeting on Friday will sign off on the plans for hospitality, travel and live events for the summer
It's expected indoor dining and attendance at events like matches and gigs will return in July.
However, Taoiseach Micheál Martin says the progress of the Indian variant of COVID is a cause of concern impacting the plans:
"We are very concerned about the Indian variants in general and we have to monitor the progress of the Indian variants in the UK particularly closely, as we are doing. And we will assess that. I think the next couple of years will be greater time all sorts of assess the data and the research that's underway within the United Kingdom, in respect of the impact of the Indian variant."
