Former CEO of Anglo Irish Bank Sean Fitzpatrick describes 126-day trial as “tiring and difficult”

He walked free from court today after the judge decided to direct an acquittal amid concerns he was being denied his right to a fair trial

Sean Fitzpatrick faced 27 charges of misleading the bank’s auditors and furnishing false information in relation to multi-million euro loans.

He’ll be formally acquitted when the jury returns to court tomorrow, but he spoke briefly with the media on his way home this afternoon.
