Former Cobh Ramblers And Cork City player Is One Of Two Candidates Vying For Position Of FAI President

The FAI will today elect a new president at an EGM in Dublin
Gerry McAnaney who played for the Cork teams for a brief time in the 1980s will go up against Martin Heraghty to replace the outgoing Donal Conway.
Gerry McAnaney has had a wide involvement in football administration for over twenty years while Martin Heraghty has been chairman of Sligo Rovers since 2016.
Today’s election is the latest act in a series of changes which this week saw former international Niall Quinn named as deputy interim CEO.
