Former Cork Hurler Opens Up About Battle With Depression
A former Cork hurler is being praised for opening up about his battle with depression. Conor Cusack described the pain he went through on a personal blog yesterday - which has now gone viral. The former Cloyne forward revealed how he had planned to take his own life during his teenage years - until he was introduced to a clinical psychologist. Dr Treasa O'Sullivan from the Dean Clinic in Cork has said that people suffering with depression often feel exhausted and demotivated; have problems with concentration, eating and sleeping; and avoid social occasions.
