Former US Police Officer Derek Chauvin Begins 22 and 1/2 Year Sentence For Murdering George Floyd In Minneapolis Last Year

The 45-year-old was convicted in April, in a case that made global headlines and sparked protests worldwide
The punishment fell short of the 30 years that prosecutors had pushed for.
George Floyd's brother, Philonise Floyd says his niece will now miss out on key moments in her life:
"Gianna will grow up knowing that her father had made a difference in the world, but the fact that she cannot have a Sweet 16; she cannot have him walk her down the aisle; she will not be able to have prom with her Daddy-Dance."
