The two year old sisters Gita and Gira are expected to prove very popular with the public once they settle into life in the park.
The €10 million Asian Sanctuary is already home to a number of critically endangered species including the Sumatran tiger and the Indian rhino.
Fota Wildlife Park is hoping to contribute to the captive breeding programme through the introduction of a male lion later this Summer.
Speaking to RedFM News Sean McKeown of Fota says - all going well - they'll be celebrating a birth next year:
