Foul play ruled out in death of 52 year old Lithuanian fisherman

Gardai in West Cork have ruled out foul play following the death of a Lithuanian fisherman on a trawler in Bantry.

A post mortem by Assistant State Pathologist Dr. Margaret Bolders found the 52 year old man died from natural causes.

Paramedicas were called to the Irish registered trawler around 10.30pm on Friday night, but the man was prounenced dead on board.

Gardai have notifed the HSA and the marine Casualty Investigation Borad, and are preparing a file on the man's death for an inquest at the coroner's court .
