Foul play ruled out in death of man in Cobh

Gardai investigating the death of a 48 year old man in Cobh have ruled out foul play.
Leo Owens was found at the bottom of the stairs at a house in Cobh yesterday evening.
A post mortem carried out on his body confirmed that there was nothing suspicious surrounding his death.
He was discovered at at his rented home at Harbour Hill at around 5pm by a neighbour who then raised the alarm.
Investigating officers are satifised that Mr Owens died from injuries sustained from a fall.
Assistant State Pathologist, Dr Margaret Bolster carried out a post-mortem on his body this morning and ruled out that he had been the victim of an assault and instead found his injuries coincided with a fall.
