Free checks on community based defibrillators nationwide

The checks will be carried out by the Irish Red Cross.

The Irish Red Cross are to conduct free checks on community-based defibrillators across the country.

It comes after Cork City Coroner's Court heard that the batteries of an Automated External Defibrillator failed just days before they were needed off Roches Point last summer.
