French man killed in Cork hit-and-run

Gardai in Cork are liaising with the French Consulate to get in touch with the family of a 25-year old who was killed in a hit and run. The man, who was a native of France but had been living and working in Cork for a number of years, was struck by a van at George's Quay at around 9.30pm last night. He was rushed to CUH where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
