Fresh calls for construction on Mallow By Pass to begin

Fresh calls have been made for construction to begin on the long awaited Mallow By Pass.
Local politicians are calling for the project to be funded as part of the Government's mid-term Capital Review that is due to take place this year.
The bypass could take up to five years to plan and build once the funding is approved for the infrastructure which has been described as "critical" for the north Cork region.
Locals say without the bypass Mallow will continue to be congested, and struggle to benefit from future economic recovery.
