Fresh hopes for former HMV workers

There's fresh hope for the 300 former Irish workers of HMV, who lost their jobs when Receivers shut 16 stores. A new deal with a Canadian firm could save at least the outlet on Henry Street in Dublin, if not more stores. 20 workers lost their jobs when the company's Cork outlet on Patrick Street closed it's doors Earlier, it was announced that HMV UK has been saved, after restructuring firm Hilco bought 141 shops off administrators - rescuing 2,500 thousand jobs. Hilco says it's also in negotiations with a number of Irish landlords
