The full recount at County Hall in the Bantry/West electoral area means the three councillors were deemed elected over the weekend have technically not been declared elected as yet
The recount was requested as just one vote separates Social Democrat Holly McKeever Cairns and Independent Finbarr Harrington.
The results of that recount are expected at 5pm this evening but the returning officer says any changes to first preference figures for any or all candidates will be announced
This means that Independent Danny Collins who topped the poll, Fianna Fail's Patrick Gerard Murphy and Fine Gael's Katie Murphy who were deemed to be elected during the weekend count have not technically been declared elected as of yet
Independent Finbarr Harrington told the Southern Star that he's anxious about the outcome of the reccount
