Funding announced for Cobh Community Hospital

The €50,000 will go towards assisting refurbishments.

50,000 thousand euro worth of funding is being allocated to Cobh Community Hospital.

The announcement was made today by Minister of State Sean Sherlock where he paid tribute to the people of Cobh for their fundraising efforts but says it's important for their contribution to be supported by the tax payer.

The non-profit, community based hospital which caters for aged, dementia, palliative and end of life care has 43 beds and includes a long stay and respite facility.

Speaking following the announcement, Minister Sherlock said it's a great day for Cobh.
