Funding announced for Cork roads damaged by storms

It was announced by the government today.
The Government has announced that 106 million euro is being allocated to repair damage to transport infrastructure from the recent severe weather.
It comes as Cork County Council is urging the Government to release almost €12 million in emergency funding to fix roads which have been battered by Storm Frank and recent adverse weather conditions.
The extra Government funding is being provided to address the needs of Local Authorities across the country, after recent floods destroyed roads and bridges.
Minister for Transport Paschal Donohoe says the money will be made available immediately.
