Funding For Stalled Cork Events Centre Can Be Delivered Despite Soaring Building Costs

That's according to Tánaiste Simon Coveney who made the comments amid fears the project could be shelved due construction inflation. 

A planning decision is due at the start of August after BAM submitted further design information for the 6,000 seater venue earlier this month.

The project hit a major stumbling block when €9 million of a €30 million state funding package was classified as a loan.

The sod was turned on the development over 3 years ago.
