Funeral Of John Hume Hears Expressions Of Sympathy From The Pope, Dalai Lama, The Clintons And Bono

The service for the 83 year old is underway at St Eugene's Cathedral in his native Derry.
Many family members including one of John's sons Aidan have been unable to travel home for the funeral due to the pandemic.
Attendance inside the church has been limited to around 100 people.
His son John Hume Junior remembered his father as a man who taught him to laugh and who loved chocolate:
