Further delays on the cards for decision on Ringaskiddy incinerator

A decision on the controversial Ringaskiddy incinerator isn't expected to be announced until the end of the year. 

An Bord Pleanála was due to decide on the plans by Indaver tomorrow however the Irish Examiner reports that the file has yet to go before the board.

It means the planning board then has up to 28 days to reach a decision. 

It's the second delay on a decision about the €160 million facility as a verdict was originally due in July.

Speaking to RedFM News Mary O' Leary of the Cork Harbour Area for a Safe Environment says the delays are unfair as campaigners were railroaded through the application process and were not given extra time when they sought it:
