Garda Commissioner Says Murdered Detective Colm Horkan Embodied Best Of Police Force
Gardaí today held their annual ceremony to mark the 89 officers who have died while on duty
Colm Horkan was shot in Castlerea in Roscommon last June.
Drew Harris says it has been especially difficult for Colm’s family:
"The events of that night demonstrate his determination in the exercise of his duty to protect the citizens of this society. It has been a difficult year for so many. For Colm's family and friends, they have faced their grief through the most challenging of circumstances, and we think of you all, each and every day."
