Gardai in Mallow say the N90 and the Mallow to Mitchelstown road are passable, however secondary routes are still dangerous.
The Fota Road heading into Cobh is extremely dangerous and Gardai say the vast majority of roads are impassible.
Ploughing efforts are underway in Middleton to clear the the Lakeview Road to Whitegate.
However Gardai across the country say secondary routes remain dangerous and extreme care is to be taken on all routes.
