Gardai and Construction Industry Federation Join Forces To Tackle Theft Of Tools From Sites

Gardaí in Cork have appealed to anyone who suspects that a tool is stolen to contact them.
The Construction Industry Federation in conjunction with gardaí are urging anyone in the construction industry to secure and mark their tools in a bid to crack down on theft from construction sites.
Approximately €7.8 million worth of items were stolen from construction sites nationally in 2017 - that's an increase of 35% in construction crime throughout the country.
Speaking to RedFM News Sgt Ian O'Callaghan Crime Prevention Officer in West Cork says unmarked tools are more difficult to trace:
