Gardaí Appeal For Information After Cork Burglary

Gardaí in Cork are appealing for information following a burglary at a house in Mitchelstown last week in which a man was shot. At around 11 pm on Thursday four masked and armed raiders entered the home of a 59-year-old man at Carrigane in Mitchelstown. Two women also aged in their 50s were in the house at the time. The occupants of the house were tied up before the raiders left the scene with a small amount of cash along with a wine coloured BMW. The car, which has an English registration - part of which reads LB10, was later seen travelling on the M8 motorway. Audio from Superintendent Ger Quinn with Mitchelstown Garda Station.
