The victim in his 40s was beaten in broad daylight at Meat Shambles Lane in Youghal town.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to an attack in East Cork that saw a middle aged man rushed to hospital.
The victim in his 40s was beaten in broad daylight at Meat Shambles Lane in Youghal town at around 3pm yesterday afternoon.
He was taken to Cork University Hospital where he remains today.
Gardaí are asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the attack to contact them.
