Gardai are currently responding to multiple collisions across county Cork due to black ice

Crashes near Midleton, Halfway Roundabout, Innishannon and Macroom

A van is on it's roof in Grange Castlemartyr and Gardai say the N25 between Killeagh and Midleton is particularly dangerous due to freezing conditions overnight which have left the roads frozen over this morning

Two crashes have been reported on the Castlelyons to Conna road.

Bandon gardai say despite being salted last night the roads around Kinsale are lethal this morning with an accident reported at Brownswmills - the hill there is impassable and a car has also crashed on the Kinsale side of the Halfway roundabout with the roads around ballyfeard and Dunderrow particularly dangerous this morning

Motorists are describing the bridge in Innshannon as lethal and the Guards say a car has also crashed there this morning

The guards are also responding to a single car collision on the N22 between Macroom and Ballyvourney.

The main roads are also very dangerous this morning due to black ice, gritting was conducted during the night but this has not been effective everywhere.
Secondary and minor roads should be considered very dangerous

The advice to all motorists is to allow extra time for your journeys this morning due to the icy road conditions
