Gardai are waiting to interview daughter of tragic Cobh couple

Gardai are delaying their plans to interview the daughter of a couple who died in an apparent murder/suicide in Cobh on Sunday. 21-year old Michelle Greaney is recovering from injuries she received in the incident at the family home at Philip O'Neill Place. Michael Greaney and his wife Valerie died from stab wounds they received at their home in Cobh on Sunday. Their daughter Michelle was also injured in the incident and is understood to be a key witness in the garda investigation. Gardai are waiting to speak with the 21-year old who is said to be recovering well. However, they have put their plans to interview her on hold to allow her time to grieve. Meanwhile, the Department of Education's National Educational Psychologist will be sending psychologists to Cobh Community College when it reopens next week. The Greaney's other daughter - 16 year old Sarah - is a student there and psychologists will be offering support and advise to her fellow students.
