Gardai arrest 5 people following reports of a mass brawl on Northside of the city
Gardaí in Mayfield made the arrests at a party on Saturday night.
15 Gardaí attended the scene at Spring Vale on the Old Youghal Road following reports of anti-social behaviour including under age drinking and fighting.
Gardaí say up to 150 young people were at the party, many of whom heard about the party online. Initial reports suggested that someone had been stabbed in the hand.
Two assaults were reported to the Gardaí, however they were unable to make contact with the alleged stabbing victim, who its believed was slashed on the hand with a blade.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville show on Cork's RedFM, Superintendent at Mayfield Garda station Mick Comyns details the scene Gardai encountered on arrival.
