Gardai continue to investigate fatal road collision in Limerick

Gardai continue to investigate after a father and his three-year-old son died in a collision in County Limerick this morning.
Meanwhile, Gardaí say they are also investigating an assault on a woman at a house in Oola.
The woman - who received a number of non-life threatening injuries - was taken by ambulance to Limerick University Hospital.
Gardai say a man and a child had left the house at around 8:30am and were involved in a collision on the N24 Limerick to Tipperary road outside Pallasgreen.
The man, who was the driver of the car, and his child were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified and the road remains closed.
A Family Liaison Officer has been appointed and a post mortem is expected to take place at Limerick University Hospital tomorrow.
