Gardaí Have Charged A Man In His 30s Following A Serious Assault In Macroom

The incident happened at a car park in Sleaveen East on Thursday morning
As a result, a man in his 70s was treated at Cork University Hospital for serious injuries.
A man charged in connection with the incident is to appear before a Special Sitting of Bantry District Court this afternoon.

In a separate incident, a man is due in court later today in relation to a seizure of 70,000 euro worth of cocaine.
The man in his 30s was arrested after Gardai stopped and searched a car on Bessboro Road in Blackrock.
